Arizona License Requirements For a Naturopathic Medical Assistant

Arizona’s Naturopathic Physicians Medical Board provides a license to both naturopaths and naturopathic medical assistants. This article discusses requirements for the medical assistant license. You can click here for the naturopath license details.

This is one of those licenses where you need a sponsoring physician before you can get your license. The naturopathic medical doctor who will be or has hired you must be identified on your application form.

There is no exam or national certification mentioned in the application packet for this particular license. But it does say that you must attend an approved medical assistant program.

At the time I was writing this, the following page had the Arizona naturopath assistant licensing form.

Fees for an application and required fingerprints are about $122 when combined.

Contact the Board to get a list of approved medical assistant programs. I did not see any such list published on the website, as all they had were the approved naturopathic medical schools.
